No. 9. “ Hey, stop!” yelled the giant, but you may be sure that the Chums only ran. faster than ever! Though they galloped their hardest, however the monstrous feet gained on them, and they could feel the hot breath of Agatha the dragon very near. Then the giant reached down and picked up leddy and Golly as if they had been feathers. He slipped the Chums into his huge , pocket. “ Here’s a fine how-d’ye-do!” Teddy as they found themselves in the darkness. “ I wonder if there’s a hole in his pocket anywhere?" said Golly “ Owl there is!” he cried, and almost fell out, but he managed to cling to the lining of the giant’s pocket. Teddy hauled him back again. Feeling their way about they found a big coiled rope and a huge pin. By heaving and pushing they managed to fasten the pin to the side of the pocket and tie the rope to it. Then Teddy pushed the rope through the hole, and together they climbed down it without the giant noticing anything. Splash! They fell into a pool, a deep, deep pool, and went down down, down! - ■ _ • “ This is worse than ever!" spluttered Golly. They landed with a thud on the back of a big fish, who murmured: “ Where to, please?" (To be Continued.)
