In the last two days of the campaign for the Hauraki seat no fewer than 34 different speakers, including the candidates, sought the attention of the electors, meetings being held in all parts of the district. The United and Reform Parties were represented by seven speakers' each, the Labour Party by nine, and the Country Party by eleven. Seldom has an electorate been subjected to such a barrage of politics.
