Two simultaneous raids were made at Arapuni by a party of police. A large quantity of liquor was seized. The police also raided premises at Waharoa, and they bad to requisition a lorry to remove the liquor. Court proceedings will follow. A new wool store for Williams and Kettle, Ltd. (Napier), with a floor space of two and a-half acres, is to be erected at the Port. Two other stores for the same firm are to be erected near by. Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. are also to build over an acre and a-quarter of land, and three stores are to be reconditioned for Dalgety and Co.
