HOUSE-BREAKING TOOLS

MAX SENTENCED TO ONE YEAR. CHRISTCHURCH, May 19. Before the magistrate (Mr E. D. Mosley) Charles Horace Payne, aged 23, a baker, was found guilty of being in possession of house-breaking tools bj’ night, and was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment. The police said that the accused was seen lurking with other men in a doorway in Armagh street. He was arrested, and a chisel found in his possession fitted marks found in seven doorways where attempts at an entry had been made.
