London animal lovers, many of whom come for miles, are never tired of visiting a farm in Cricklewood, England, which is now devoted to the welfare of horses worn out by work or injured. The horses in the home take a great interest in visitors, whom they survey from their boxes with an inquiring look—the inquiry being for sugar. Only one horse at present cannot be approached by visitors. It was involved in a fire. Though not burned, it is now a bundle of nerves, plunging np and down in its box. It is cases like these that the home sets itself to cure. A party of visitors during the week became very excited when they saw one of the boxes labelled H.R.H. They thought that perhaps one of the horses belonging to the Prince of Wales was having a rest during his absence. “ People often make that mistake,” an attendant said. “The initials staxd for JJaxses’ Rest Home."
