IN MEMORIAM. ARCHIBALD.—In loving memory of Rifleman David Archibald, 25/574, who died in Franco on May 21, 1916. A distant grave is a painful thing, Where loving hands no flowers can bring. But Jesus, in His loving care, Will guard our loved one lying there. Good was his heart, his friendship sound, Loved and respected by all around. But a beautiful life came to an end. He died as he lived—everyone’s friend. —lnserted by his loving mother, sisters, and brothers. CARSON. —In loving memory of 8/178, Private T. R. Carson (Bob), Main Body, who died at Cairo on May 19, 1915, from wounds received on Gallipoli, second son of Mr and the late Mrs A. M. Carson, Eddystone street, Kaitangata; aged 22 years. “ He did his duty.”—lnserted by his loving father, sisters, and brothers.
