PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
The regular meeting of the Peninsula Road Board, held on the 4th. was attended by Messrs M'Curdy (chairman), Black, and Briurton. The board decided to pay 23 per 100 for the. destruction of birds' eggs. Mr Young wrots asking to have some repairs tffecipd and a new culvert put in on the road at Sandymount. — Resolved, that the work be don«. The Clerk reported that a tend-er had been accepted from Mr D. Weir for quarrying and breaking 100 yards of metal for Anderson's Bay. Mr Black was authorised to instruct the surfaceman to effect some repairs on Shaw's road. Accounts were passed for payment to tho amount of £51 5s Id. The board was adjourned till Saturday, November 6.
