TUAPEKA LICENSING COMMITTEE.
The quarterly meeting ol the Tuapeka Licensing Committee was held at Naseh® on Friday, Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M, (chairman), and' Messrs Mitchell, Inder, Rivers, and Bennett being present. The following transfers of licenses were granted :— Welsh Harp Hotel, Cambrian. John Besttie to Frederick A Haig (Mr C. E. Davey>. Waipiata Hotel, H. J- • Clelland to Donald M'Gregor (Mr Davey). Moa Plat Hotel, Ettrick, Ellen Emma Nash, to Wm. Hesson (Mr M'Neil). Railway Hotel, Ida VaHey, Wm. Macdonald to Edward Scherp (Mr Davey, ;nstructed by Messrs Moore, Moore, and Nichol). B&Uarat Hotel,. St. Bathans, transmissiqa of license" under will of Patrick Doylev deceased, to Ada A. Doyle (Mr DayeyJ. Re Victoria H-eteF, Naseby, a police report was read showing that the conduct of the licensee (James Walker) was unsatisfactory, and- ,. .Constable Simm. gave evidence in suppijrj of." tKe report.
