We last week gave some particulars concerning the purchase by Mr E. Short of horaas in Otago and Southland as the foun- , nation of his Clydesdale stud. Messrs [Dalgety and Co. On account of Mi Thomas Liken, Oamaru; Brown filly, Flora, rising foui years old, by Lord Ranfurly? dam, Bloss, by Heart of Oak ; g. dam, Star, by Time o' Day. Bay filly, Sweet Nell, rising four years, by Lord 1 Ranfurly ; dam, Maori, by Tasman; g. dam by Sir Arthur Gordon. On account of Mr G. Bruce, Kakanui : Brown filly, Princess Fancy, by Pride's Fancy ; dam by Clydesdale Willie. Princess Fa^icy was first- prizetaker at Oamaru and Palmerston, and reserve cHampion at same places as a two-year-old, and in the same year was placed third mr a ring of 16 at the Dunedin show.
