The .water that pours over the Falls of Niagara is wearing the rock away at the rate of five yards in four years. In 1895 a -Sydney bankrupt's estate was placed in the hands of the official assignee, and a discharge was never applied for. Recently the . bankrupt's son died intestate, leaving the father the only next of kin. Then the official assignee- stepped in and obtained probate, and the creditors now reoeive 15s in the poised instead of a much smaller amount.
