NEW TYPE OF CRUISERS. LONDON, September 8. The vtssel which is to follow the cruiser Indefatigable on the stocks at Devonport in November will be a new type of superior Invincible, and will be the first of a ntw group of single-masted cruiser battleships, 600 ft in length, with a speed of 30 knots, and armed with 12in guns, and new 21in torpedoes, with a range of 7000 yards. September 12. The newspaper Engineering states that the Admiralty had placed orders for 20 destroyers, of a speed of 29 knote. Their construction will enable them to keep the seas in all weathers.
