The amount of beer duty collected in Invercargill dm 1114 the fir.<-t eight months of the present year \va& £1163 9- 9d, as against £1073 *2.<- in the fhvt eight months of 1908. fhe excess iepie»ents an increase in the output of local beer ot 7228 gallons. The figures show that there was a deci^a.ss in the months of January and February, a blight increase 111 March and April, and a large increase in May, June, July, and August.
