Roofing iron has been reduced in price by 10s per ton, and quotations are now from- '£21 Kb to £22 psr ton, according to brands and qualities, with- eonoasaions for 10 ton lots. A further rise in linseed oil has been experienced in the Home market, and the local figure has advanced by Id a gallon, rato-3 now being from 3s 2d to 3s 3d. with I<l a gallon concession for 15 drum lots. Wire nails have been reduced £1 par ton all round. Owing to the very high level which the raw .material has attained in the world's markets all rubber goods, such as hose and rubber baiting, have advanced 20 per cent, in price. Turpentine is now 4s a gallon wholesale, Home markets generally may be eaid to be on an advancing grade. \ Block tin has firmed in England, and a response locally is very likely. The Aparima, from Calcutta, is bringing the first shipment for the season of castor oil, the price for w!hich is now from 23 8d to 3s a gallon, according to quantity.
