GKEYMOUTH, September 3. ' In connection with the- agitation ttf, alter the tenure of the Greymouth Nativa. Reserve, the Maoris have decided to re< fuse countenance to any movement whereby they 'may become dispossessed of the reserve. leases for a period of 66" years. The question of what was termed tlia unfair competition between shopkeepers an-d street hawkers has lately b2en the subject of several complaints >o the N|fl?ier Borough Council. That body has novf decided that hawkers taking up a stand with carts, wheelbarrows, etc., shall, 11* future, pay a licence fee of 5s per month, and shall be under tho direction of th« police. _
