Giboy, «nd W, Grey. < The BoUdiage Committee submitted a. ;{ull report in connection with the proposed j I additions to the Crawford street premises, and the* Finance Committee submitted pro- , poesula for the financial arrangements in connection with tame. Afte£.fu!l discussion, in which the proposals laid before the | meeting were fuHy considered, the matter ! ! was left in the hands of the Buildings and Finance Committee with power to act. j Tfo& delegates to tbe agricultural conferences reported on what .had been done ' in Wellington. On tJae motion of Mr _ Souter j seconded by Mr W. Patrick, a hearty vote of thanks was awarded them j for their efforts on behalf of the society. { The President mentioned that Mr John . Roberts, C.M.G., had been appointed as the Otago representative on the permanent Agricultural Conference Committee. j Mr Watson Shennen wrote offering a trophy, valued at £10 10s. for the exhibiter gaining' the highest number of first prizes in Romney Marsh sheep at the coming summer show, the trophy to be won t\\ ice, not necessarily in succession. It was re- 1 solved to write and thank Mr Sheenan for his generous offer, which was much appreciated by the committee. : Messrs Murray, Roberta, and Co. wrote stating that they had pleasure in offering a trophy, valued at £5 ss, for the Border Leicester oJosrses for the exhibitor gaining '■ cue frrea.teet number of first prizes in those ! classes (imported sheep not being eligible), the trophy to be won twice, hot neeeaearilv j in succession. It ■nits unanimously resolved to write and thank Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. for their gene-rous offer, which s'lould largely help to increase the entr.es at the coming show in November. j Messrs Thomson and Co., 'cordial manufacturers, wrote offering a challenge cup, valued at 50 guineas, for competition at the annual &hovv, subject to, various conditions enumerated. It was resolved to thank Messrs Thomson and Co. for the offer, the subject of the conditions, however, to be left in tha hards cf the Draught Horso Committee to confer with the firm in connection therewith. • Tbe Secretary of the Tahuna Trotting Club wrote stating that his club purpespt! giving up poesession of the park en September 30.
