Friday nevt, September 3, is an important date on the Racing Calendar, and horue-ownera with ambitous views for the future should not oveilook the fact. On rhat date nominations are due for the Dunedin Jockey Club's Dunedin Stakes for 1910 and for the Champagne Stakes of 1911. Both these events carry 250sovs, and no money is required at time of entry. Second forfeits are due for the Dunedin. Stakes to be decided at the D.J.C. spring meting, and nominations for the North Otago Jockey Club's Stepniak Stakes. At the same time entries close for classic races of the following clubs : — Auckland, Canterbury, Feilding, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Wanganui, and Wellington.
