MELBOURNE, August 25. The river at Jeparit (248 miles northwest of Melbourne) is still rising. About 50 persons are homeless. The town of Beulah (240£ miles northwest) ie isolated, and the inhabitants have constructed embankments to keep the water out of the town. The greater part of Kerang (179 miles north-north-west of Melbourne) is under water, owing to the levels breaking. August 27.
