The dress was composed of drawn thread and guipure table centres, the sleeves were made of doyleys, and the skirt draped with stencil tablecovers, ornamented with pompoms, small dolls, beads, tinsel, etc. Although there were all the colours of the rainbow on -the~dreas they blended; »s a whole, showing what Miss Clougb intended it to be — an art advertisement. .She carried a banner of white satin edged with gold spangles and sequins, with' the advertisement, "Miss Clough, "Art Needlework Depot," on one side, and "Miss Clough, toilet specialist, High street, ChrißtohuToh, and George street, Dunedin," on the other side, w.orked ' in. coloured jewels.
