J Howlett Ross (elocution adjudicator) wrote stating that he used his own book for judging, but that he was prepared to {five competitors every information, and -staling that ha would be pleased to give a locital if the committee wished it. — Secretary to thank Mi* Ross for the offer, and lo inform him that if the Programme Committee could arrauga it it would avail itself of his kind offer The Railway Traffic Manager wrote ■stating that he \%as recommending that excursion tickets to competitors and judges he issued from any station to Dunedin from Monday, September 20, till Thursday, September 50 (inclusive), a^ail?ble for return till October 9. J. Fuller and Sons wrote stating that there would not be any theatrical company in the Princess Theatre duiing the society's season. — Secretary to write and thank Messrs Fuller and Sons. i TJie question of certificates and members' tickets was left in the hands of the secretary I A member stated that there appeared some doubt regarding marks for memori6- j ing In the instrumental section.— This matter is provided for in the rules, additional marks up to 10 being allowed for memorising.
