The balloon consists cf a main gas chamber, which Is kept in a semi-rigid state by a 'ower cLau'e: inside the envelope, which is inflated with compressed air. The air is kept at considerable pressure from the engine carried on the main framework. The airship, which will eventually do the journey will diffor ro i the machine drawn here in so far as the-e will be two propellors arranged at the sides instead of one at the bow as in the existing Clement-Bayard. The whole machine will be built on a larger scale. The left haul i>o:trait is that ol M. Clement, the buil lor of the airship, and the other is of M C>ppazza, fie man who will pilot the ba loon — Frcm the Sphere.
