Mr r Kogen won all through with his smooth fox terrier dog Sardonyx, his win placing the southern smooths at the top of the tree. Mr Shand ran into second place with his wire-hair dog Sundcwner, being beaten in the Open Class by Mr Hindmarch's Randolf, but in competing for the ■N.Z.F.T. Club's gold medal, open to members of the Fox Terrier Club, for best dog or bitch, wire-hair, in tht show, Sun<do%vner romped home, beating both of Mr Jamieson's Napier cracks*, who had previously swept the board both at Napier and Auckland. Mr Shand's wire-hair . bitch Roma also secured a second prize in the Open Bitch Class. .These wins show that flic South Island wire are quite up to the North Island, and Mr Shand must be congratulated on bis success, which must also be very gratifying to the breeder, 'Mi Webster.
