SYDNEY HORSE SHOW.

SYDNEY, August 3. At the horse show tbe New Zealand contingent was much admired, beinjr of higher quality than the Australian animals. Mr 1 Gadsby (Taranaki) won first prize in the class .for heavy Clydesdale mares. Mr James Grant (Hawcra) first for two draught mares or geldings (driven), and first and second for mare and gelding (driven). SYDNEY, August 4. The horse sake have commenced. Mr Grant's Le G-ado, in the blood stallion section, realised 26gs. The bulk of the New Zealanders will be offered to-morrow. SYDNEY, August 5. At the horse sales to-day Mr Grant (Hawera) sold the draught stallion Lord Jacko for lOOgs, Knight of Quality for 80gs, and T3ena Lee for 75gs. On account of Mr M'Kerrow (Otago) Airedale was sold for 150gs. SYDNEY, August 6. At the horse sales, on account of Mr Gadsby, of Taranaki, the Clydesdale Big Ben fetched 70gs. On account of Mr Houlfc (Feilding), two colts realised 28gs and 30gs: Mr D. Mitchell, of New Zealand, bought the Victorian Clydesdale Hereigo. At the horse sales to-day the following draught marea were sold:—On account of Mr Grant—Blase, 48ge Lowie 71gs, Blanch 59.EC6, Nell 47gs; on account of Mr Gadsby— Miss Grant 80gs, Rosebud II lOgs, Royal Gem 75ge; on account of Mr Hoult, 10 mares aggregating 4C9gs; on account of Mr Brett (Feilding), 15 mares aggregating
