CROMWELL v CLYDE.
This match has been looked forward to with considerable amount of interest, as it meant if Cromwell were beaten it would have left the Flag in doubt to the end of the fixtures, as Cromwell have still another game to play against Lowburn ; so people caane from ail round the district. It was an ideal day for football, and tho ladies outnumbered the malo sex. The match was played in the best of spirit, and there were no knocks out—quite a contract •to the other matches. Cromwell won by 7 to nil — a. potted goal by Dwjei. and C. Smart scored the only fry of liie day. Mr Swarm controlled the game to th'a satisfaction of bech jjams. and Mcs-rs (J. Trevallin and Miller, of Lowburn, acted as line ump-'ree ! Tho match against the Town team to be played a£ Clyde on the 28th is tang looked forward to with great 'nterest, as tho Vincent County ought to b~e able to put a | very solid team in the fieicT with the men ! we have this e<=?son, and it will take the I town boys a-11 they know to win.
