DUNEDIN GUN CLUB.

The members of the Dunedin Gun Club held their fortnightly competition on Saturday last, when sparrow and clay bird matches were shot. The day was fine, but cold and windy, and the elusive little sparrow had rather the best of it, getting away from the trap with great swiftness down the wind. The match ended in " Starlight " and R. Vinnicombe dividing first prize. Others who shot, were Kitto, J. G. Martin, Orlowski, and Tewsley. A clay bird handicap for a trophy presented by Mr R. Vinnicombe followed. The match was 24 birds. After an exciting contest A. H. Kitto ran out the winner, followed by S. L^awson and " Starlight," who divided second prize. Others who shot well were Orlowski, Cowie, Tewsley, Moreton, and R. Martin.
