HENLEY
August 9. — Matters in this district are «teadily improving under the splendid weather conditions that are now prevailing. The milk supply is likely to be very much increased this year by the cutting up of a large run into three steadings. The School. — Our local teachers are always changing. Mi Finney, who until recently had charge 1 of the Flat School, has bee.n succeeded by a temporary teacher. The teacher act the Ferry School hae *e-eign-e-d, and her place will be hard to fill. Drainage. — The drainage scheme is now before the authorities. Nothing short of an engineer from Holland or .the buildling of a weir across the river eeems likely to touch the problem. With a weir what would become of the launches on the river?
