DISCUSSION IN AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND. March 7.
The visit of the English footballers is looked forward to here with much interest, especially as Auckland did so well against the last team. . In football circles here, however, the general opinion is that one i ♦esfc will not be at all satisfactory, especially j if England should happen to win, and three . tests at least are advocated. Even if the < {reputed best men could not play in all, it would give others a chance to distinguish themselves, while we could put to the test the arguments used when the "All Blacks " .•went Horne — that there was a team almost ' as good, if not. equa.l, to that sent Home, j Tests could be substituted for the two island ' matches. The local union will probably discuss the matter during the week.
