THE ENGLISH TEAM'S VISIT.
THREE TEST MATCHES ADVOCATED. At a meeting on Friday of the committee lof the Otago Rugby Union a resolution ( was parsed affirming the opinion of the .Committee that it was highly desirable that three test matches should be played (between the English team and New Zealand, urging that the New Zealand Union Should 6o rearrange the programme for I the English team's tour as to admit of .provision being made for these three matches, and expressing the preparedness of the Otago Union to forgo the South Island match at Dunedin if this should be pecessary to' facilitate such rearrangement.
