EGG-LAYING COMPETITIONS.

'(From Otto Owfcr Correspondent.) GREYMOUTH. March 3. The results of the forty-third week of the New Zealand Poultry Journal's duck e^g-laying competition show that' in W. Knight's pen 26 eggs were laid, at Mre Lucy's 26, and J. Dowthwaite's 25. The total for the week was 372, and to date 14,496. The leading aggregates are:v-J. Dowthwaite, 995; W. Knight, 943$ A. Pemberthy, 927.

BLENHEIM, March 7. In the Blenheim egg-laying competition the total for the week is 1557, and the „ grand total 81,354. The highest pens for the week are: M'Oallum (white Leghorns), 29; Scott (white Leghorns), 29; Hodson (white Leghorns), 29; Edelston (white Leghorns), 28; Thomson (white Leghorns), 28.
