AUCKLAND CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS. AUCKLAND, February 29.

The cricket cup championships were conlinued this afternoon in ideal weather, when the eighth round was commenced. City, playing Grafton, made 119 in the first 'innings (Hemus 35, Beechey 18). Grafton lost three wickets for 110 (D. Hay 29, Graham not out 26, Horspool 20). Parnell scored 90 in the first innings {Andrew 29, E. Foster 20). North Shore responded with 79 for three wickets (Had'don 26. Dacre 24). Poneonby scored 60 against Eden, R. Woods (28) being the only one to make a. stand. Eden lost v five wickets for 76 (Smith 43, G. Mills 13, Relf 4). White bowled finely, taking four of the best wickets for 16 runs. Relf made his last appearance to-day, as he leaves nex* Saturday for England. He has decided to return next October or November as coach/ to the Eden Club, who have brought him out for two seasons.
