TAHTTNA PARK TROTTING CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING. Second Day— Wednesday, February 26. •The Tahuna Park Trotting Club concluded its autumn meeting on Wednesday in fin© weather. The track was in good order, and some interesting racing was witnessed. The olub licensed nine bookmakers. The totalisator iresiments amounted in the aggregate < to £4521, which ia £312 in advane of those for the second day last- year. Mr L. C. Hazlett's starting throughout was of a highly satisfactory description, and won* commendation from visitors from Christchurch, where high class starting is of paramount importance. In the Telegraph Handicap Royal Colours began well, and won nicely after being ridden a well judged race by E. M'Kewen. The aame rider also ' had a winning turn in the St. Kilda Handicap on Joe L. In the Telephone Handicap Coooanut and Francesca ran together, and gradually wore down Rosenea-th, who, when collared, commenced to break up, antt from that out the race lay between the other pair. Cocoanut took charge going down the back for the laat time, and won nicely an interesting race. A good deal of mixing up took place between the starters in the Ivanhce Handicap, and Ard Patrick, well ridden by A. Pringle, drew out from the home turn for a win from Commanderite. Viceroy had always been prominent, but mixed badly at the home turn, when he looked to have a fair chance of being either first or second. Following are the results: — ST. Little 'Un had drawn into a lead of over 20 lengths from Punch at the end of a lap; Blackey lying third. Little 'Un was still well oixt at the end of a mile, and finally won, easing up, by about 20 lengths from Punch, who beat Major Taylor bY half a dozen lengths for second place; Kilbirnie Maid a bad fourth. At the end of the first lap Happy Moments was three lengths clear of Bermaline, whilst Lady Irvington was half a dozen lengths away. Bermaline had taken the lead at the end of a mile, and Ima D. had moved into third place. Im«. D. ran into the lead cix furlongs from home in the third lap, and from that out she Kept well clear of the others, and won comfortably by a dozen lengths from -Bermaline; General Abdallah third. Lady Clare, Lauderdiale, and Happy Moments finished close up, fourth. Time, taiin 19 2-6 sec. TELEGRAPH HANDICAP (In Saddle), Of lOOaovs; second losovs and third osoys. , Two miles. Mr J. Wallace). All got well away to their belle except The Pigeon, who lost a trifle. Royal Colours was leading Woodland Whispers by three lengths at the" end of a lap, Timothy a dozen lenfrt^s away third. In the second lap Royal Colours was just showing clear of Woodland Whispers, Timothy fully 20 lengths away. The Pigeon had moved into fourth place. From that out the race practically lay between the leading pair- With a lap to go Royal Colours commenced to draw away from Woodland Whispers, who tired badly in the laat lap, and finally won, easing up, by half a, dozen lengths; Timothy a dozen lengths away third, The Pigeon fourth. At the end of the first lap D'Eaglesfleld was about three lengths clear of Joe L., and passing the stand for the second time, Joe L. had drawn 30 lengths clear of D'Eaglesfleld. With a lap to go Joe L. was a dozen lengths clear of Whiterock. In the last lap Whiterock broke twice, and, going wejl in the last quarter, put in some good work. but could only get within three lengths of

At the end of a lap Roseneath was about 15 lengthd clear of Francesca, whilst Cocoanut was just in behind the latter. At the end of a mile Bogeneath was a length and a-half clear of Francesca, and just in behind' lay Cocoanut. At the far turn Roseneath broke and dropped out, and Francesca took charge. Francesca and Cocoanut drew right away from Roseneath, and at the end of a mile and a-half Francesca had Cocoanut on her wheel Going down the back stretoh Cocoanut wftit on from Francesca, and finally won nicely by eight lengths; Roseneath close on three-parts of a furlong away third. At the far turn Commanderite was a length clear of Aid Patrick and Viceroy. The last-named broke badly at the home turn, and Ard Patrick drew out from Ccmmanderite, and won by four lengths; Broodwood, three lengths away, third, and Viceroy fourth. Time, 2min 85sec. After a slight delay another sulky was procured. At the end of a mile ,Mdss Agnew was just showing, clear of Lettydale, but broke, and Lettydale went on, and finally won, easing up. by 20 lengths from Lord Robin); Major Taylor, six lengths away, third'; Mis* Agnew four lengths off.
