LANCASHIRE AND YORKSHIRE SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Society was held in th© Trades Hall on Thursday evening, when Mr Taylor (president) occupied the chair. There was a large attendance of members and friends. During the evening the society was the- recipient of a handsome framed photographic group- from the Besses' o' the Barn Band with compliment*. The following items were oontribted: — Recitation, Miss Cran; piano solos, Misses Beaumont and L. Jago ; musical item (violins and piano), Frya Family ; descriptive recitation, Mr G. Goodwin ; reading, Mr T. Little ; dialect humorous reading, Mr C. Frye. Mr G. Jackson provided the music for dancing, and Mr Jackson, sen., acted as M.G.
