ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION.
BOMBS THROWN AT TWO KULEKS. TEHERAN, February 28. . Two bombs were thrown at the Shah, killing three and wounding 20 of hi* euite. The Shah was unhurt. February 28. Details of the attempt on the life of th« Shah show that the bombs were thrown from the roof of a house ir a narrow street. One bomb exploded in tne air, white another struck the ground, killing thf outriders near the Shah's unoccupied motor car. The tribal cavalry, who were escorting the Shah, fled. The Shah, who occupied a carriage i* the rear, returned to the palace. ! Twelve people were killed. A search of the houses in the vicinitj of the outrage proved fruitless. The news of the occurrence caused th< greatest surprise in London, as the eitua* tion in Teheran recently has been quiet* March 1. - Another bomb was thrown in the street* of Teheran, killing a passing gardener and a labourer. March 2. The Shah is incensed at the laxity o< the measures taken for his protection. He severely thrashed the Governor o| TeheTan, and threatened to blow the Chief of Police from the cannon's mouth. BUENOS AIRES, February 29. An attempt has been made on the life of Dr Alcorta, President of the Argentine. A bomb was thrown and struck ths President's carriage while he was driving in the streets of Buenos Aires, but i( failed to explode.
