NEW YORK, March 1. The Committee of the House of Representatives reports favourably on the bill introduced by Congressman C. N. Fowler, chairman of the Banking and Currency Committee, providing for national guaranteed bank credit notes, and assuring the safety of the notes and deposits by a guarantee fund of £100,000,000, the banks contributing an annual quota.
