Commenting at the Wostpoi t Harbour 80-ard meeting on the infcroase in the pj ice of ooal local l.\. Mr Foster, president of the Miners' Union, and a member of tho board, said the increase appealed to be associated with the bank-to-bank legislation, but so far as that was concerned the increase was a-bsoluich unwarranted. Mr Cohin, M.P.. staled that the mines were now turning out more coal than ever.
The Hokitika, Greymouth, Reef ton, Denniston. Milleiton, and Westpqrt Volunteers hold an encampment here at Easter.
