A Limit to His Patience.
A well-known member was addressing- a meeting of fanners, and in the course of his remaiks expressed the opinion that grower J did not sufficiently vary th<?i; cropa. and made a mistake in always sowing wheat.
Ono o- the audience, oppose*! -to the member in politics, thought he saw hiis chance. "What crops do you recommend?" he asked. "Everything in turn," replied th© M.P. "Well," said his interlocutor, "if swedes don't oome up, what then?" "Sow mustard," said the M.P. "And? if mustard don't come up, what then ?" pressed the other.
And so he went on fcErough a whole list of crc-ps, until, the member's patience being exhausted, he puit an end to the farmer's questioning 6y saying, amid roars of laughter, "Oh, sow yourself, and I hope you won't come u>p I"
