WEST'S PICTURES.
The popularity of West's Pictures may fairly be said to be on the increase, judging by the large audience that attended His Majesty's Theatre ou Saturday evening. Th« 'programme was so arranged as to suit all manner of tastes — some pictures, notably the " Wood industry in Canada., " Our boys at drill," and others being highly instructive, whilst some depicted the humorous side of life in such a manner as to elicit the hearty plaudits of the audience. A pleasant feature of West's Pictures is their .clearness *n<J almost entire absence of flicker. Not the least interesting items on Saturday's programme were the contributions of L. de Groen's Vice-regal Orchestral Band.
