SYDNEY, February 24. The London Daily Telegraph says that' the New Zealanders in their fifth repxesentative match at Oldham against Lancashire were opposed by a strong team, and at all points the home team proved superior. Indeed, the colonials gave a disappointing display, and sustained tba heaviest reverse of their tour — one goal and six tries to two goals. They notl only lacked the pace of the home players, but their forwards failed to hold their own, and the game from beginning to end left no doubt as to the superiority of Lancashire. The points gained by tho colonials were from two penalty goals; which Messenger Bcored. The Daily -News describes the ;Al| Blacks' play as disappointing.
