DAMAGE IN FEILDING DISTRICT.
FEILDING. February 22: The whole ch*t>-ict between Rangiwahia and Kawbatau is being 6wept by fires. Rangiwahia township is in danger, and there is a serious shortage of water everywhere. Fences are destroyed in all directions : stock are wandering at large : and most valuable scenery is destroyed. Strenuous efforts by settlers and neighbours hat c saved the homesteads so far in most cases, but the end is not; yet.
