Mr G. E. Aklerton, who returned fiom Northern Waiioa chsiiiet to-day, states that ihe damage done by fire m that distuct has been gi-eptlv exaggerated. Very little daimgo has been sustained, except (he partial destruction of the SiLeria tiaaii.aj at Kaihu.
