Commerce, and Na\i(jation between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Nicaragua, 6i«ned at Managua on tlio 28th July, 1905. has been duly. notified to and accepted by the Nicaraguan, Government. Revised regulations under which commissions in the British army may be obtained by university candidates are published at length in to-night's Gazette. In to-night's Gazette it ie eet out that a duty of on© penny per pound shall b* levied on the following articles of the nature of glucose, such duty being equal to the duty on glucose : — Dextro laevulose, or innert sugar, grape sugar, isaooharum, saoch6oline, glucose obtained from, other sources than starch.
The drovers in Masterton have formed a union with a strong membership, and arrangements are being made to ha\e th» utupa registered.
