At the Blenheim egg-laying competition the total for the week was 1600, and the grand total 76,605. The highest for the week are: — West (white Wyandottes). 33; Mick Shaw (white Leghorns), 32; Scott (white Leghorns), 31; Cooper (white Leghorns), 29. The highest, to date are: — Law (white Leghorns), 1058; Treichart (white Leghorns), 1041 ; Silcock (white Leghorns), 1034; Hawke (white Leghorns), 1021; Edelston (white Leghorns), 1017; Mick Shaw (white Leghorns). 1015.

The report for the thirty-ninth week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egg-laying competition shows on « abrogate of 769 e^gs. bringing the grand total up to 39,913. The leadins pens are as follow: — A. Petrie's white Leghorns (26), 1028; J. Tonge's white Leghorns (25), 1063; Mi*s R. Nixon's white Leghorns (19), 1054; W. O. Sail's white Leghorns (24), 1027: F. G.
