FIRES.

NELSON, February 16. About 1.30 thi^ morning a fire was di3coveied in Messrs Dodson and Sons' malthouse, in which a very large quantity of barley was stored. Although the brigade was eailv on the scene, the building w<is gnttfd before the flames could be suppressed.
