ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.

At the Police Court to-day David M'Connoohie, jun., Was brought before Mr James M'Ennis, S.M.. on a charge of having, at Middlemarch, on January 21, sent a letter, knowing the contents thereof, to Henry Bruhm, farmer, of Hyde, containing threaite to kill him. Mr Charles E. Davey appeared to prosecute, and Mr T. M'Neil for the accused. Accused was committed for trial at Dunedin at the next criminal sittings of the Supreme Court. Bail was fixed at himself in £100 and two sureties of £25 each or on© of £50.
