SIR HARBY MACLEAN
SECURITY FOR HIS RELEASE. MESSAGE FROM THE KING. TANGIER, February 7. Sir Harry Mac Lean' has reached Tangier. He is in good health. Rakuli accompanied him. LONDON, February 4. Mr W. Runciman (Financial Secretary to the Treasury) announced in the House of Commons that Raisuli was bringing Kaid Mac Lean to Tangier immediately. February 9. In order to secure Sir H. Mac Lean's Telease the British Legation deposited the sum of £20,000 in the bank, and caused to be released 56 prisoners, and restored all the slave wives captured at Zinal last year, when Raisuli was defeated. Raisuli and 28 relatives become British protected subjects. The sum of £15,000 will remain in the bank for three years, Raisuli receiving the interest, amounting to £500 annually. February 10. *King Edward congratulated Sir Harry Mac Lean on his release and inquired after bis health.
