Hi= Excellency, who vva« received by the chairman of the board (Mr Bagnall) and Ihe clnector of technical education (Mr George George), expressed himself in terms of high appreciation of the Gaerifice made by the teachers in giving up their holidays in order to better equip themselves for teaching. He hoped that one result of this sacrifice would be that they would be better able to train the pupils in the" country schools for & country life, so that the
modern tendency of migrating fiom th« country to the towns would be discouraged as far as they were concerned.
