RIVERTON RACING CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the Riverton Racing Club was held on Wednesday evening. The balance-sheet, as submitted, snowed the club to be tin » good financial position, having a credit balance of £1000. Dr Trotter was again nominated for the position of president, and being the only one nominated /was declared elected; and Messrs Willett and J. M'Ka-y were elected vice-presidents. The following wen elected a committee: — Messrs Mills, Wohlers, Sutton, Smythiea, M'Alpine, Gordon. Lyle, E. Stevens, and E. Trail, and> Mr* V. R. Hackworth was re-elected treasurer. Mr T. R. Winton tendered his resignation as - secretary, owing to his removal from the distriot. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring secretary for services rendered, and the matter of filling the vacancy was left in the hands of the president and treasurer, .
