The "Selection Committee of the New Zealand Amateur Athletio Association has selected the following team to represent New Zealand at the forthcoming Australasian championship meeting : — Trembath (Southland), Murray, Orbell, and Stubberfield (Canterbury), and M'Kay and Henderson (Wellington). The team will leave Lyttelton.» on February 14, and t&e expenses of the tour will be defrayed by the, council of the association. It was -originally intended that the team should consist of five men, and the choic& of the fifth lay between Stubberfield and M'Kay. • The.council, however, decided" to send both, and the team has been increased to six. WELLINGTON, February 3.

The judges' awarded M'Kay the long jump championship, and this increases Wellington's total number of points to 81 and reduces' Otago's total to 4.

It was originally reported that M'Kay (Wellington) and Mitchell (Otagb) had tied for first place in the"4ong jump championship, with jumps of 19ft 3in.
