GORE, January 29. A vote was taken to-day by the Gore Borough Council on a proposal to raise a loan of £5500, the sum of £3000 beinif foe water supply extension and £2500 for thi; extension and repairs to the electric light service Both proposals were lost, the w?ter lean by 199 to 128, and the light ioan b> 183 to 149. The proposals were submitted on a previous occasion (about a couple o* months ago), and were defeated by practically the same majorities.
