POVERTY BAY.
The Hon. R. M'Nab (Minister of Lands) reached Motu (Gisborne) on the 23rcF. The Minister received a deputation, and said he had been greatly impressed with the need of greater expedition in extending the railway. Next morning' the party left for Opotiki. The Hon. J. Carroll has returned to Gisborne.
