AUCKLAND, January 13. A telegram- from the. EJLinjramfte expedition states -that the party is retaining 'to -Auckland, Diver Olarbe Uiaving "liied at 10.30 last night. No further information is given. This , is -the second ' diver who has died while engaged in-attempting, to recover the gold lost/m !the-Elinsamire -wreck. • -.. January 15. - . The steamer .Claymore returned from Three Kings to-night, bringing . about £200 in specie, recovered - from -the wreck ,ol the Elingamite. 'Tbe party been away^ 31 days', but owing to bad weather, could only -work about- five days, . during Tvhich! -time some £900 was obtained. The present syndicate- has. abandoned further search, as from- the observation of the divers it is impossible to -secure anym ore specie with.* out blasting- file wreck -with dynamite. " The -death- of Diver." Clarke is tetated by Dr Fortes', of Mangonui, . who made a post mortem 1 .examination, to have been due to the formation of .a clot of blood on the brain. " ' -
